POLITICAL BODIES
This section is a window on the shipping world from the viewpoint of national and foreign political bodies for which this section has been specifically created. There are many different bodies in charge of the sea or shipping, from City Councils to Provincial or Regional Councils, from Parliamentary Committees to Ministries, from Harbour’s Master’s Offices to Port Authorities, from the European Union to international agencies.

The STIMA Project has given its contribution by offering guidance through the wide sea of information that is all around – laws, provisions, European directives, treaties – as well as law bills and regulations, and by offering easy access to links to some major web sites of the bodies and agencies that are in charge of international and EU policies regarding safe shipping and ships, flag state control, port state control, crew training.
